Bloc Party announce headline shows
Playing Perth, Adelaide and Hobart this November
Also co-headlining Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with Interpol
UK’s acclaimed indie-rock force Bloc Party are ready to amplify Australian stages for the first time since 2018, today
announcing a string of headline shows this November in Perth, Adelaide and Hobart.
Playing hailed gems from their genre-bending catalogue, indie fans will enjoy favourites from Silent Alarm, A Weekend In The City, Intimacy and 2022 LP release Alpha Games. If that’s not enough, Bloc Party have released two more singles this year, “Keep It Rolling” and “High Life” from The High Life EP released tomorrow, Friday 21 July.
Bloc Party got their break in 2003 when lead singer Kele Okereke gave a copy of single “She’s Hearing Voices” to Franz Ferdinand’s lead singer Alex Kapranos and BBC Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq, who subsequently played the song on his show labelling the track as “genius”.
Their debut album Silent Alarm was released in 2005, which went on to go platinum and received wide critical acclaim. With almost two decades and six albums worth of material, fans will be spoilt for choice with favourites in live form including “Banquet”, “Helicopter”, “This Modern Love” and “Flux”.
Heading up Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium on Friday 10 November, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday 12 November and Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on Tuesday 14 November, Bloc Party are turning it up ahead of their East Coast co-headline tour with Interpol mid-November.
Don’t miss indie rock powerhouse Bloc Party across the country this November.
