Step back in time and explore the golden age of radio in South Australia through this historical exhibition. The exhibition, a collaboration between Adelaide Libraries, the Historical Radio Society of Australia (SA Group) and the Ellison Museum of Radio and Magnetic Recording, celebrates 100 years of broadcast sound in the state, which began with the first radio broadcast in November 1924 on station 5CL.
Featuring vintage radio advertisements and promotional materials for radio shows, historical photographs, and an array of vintage portable radios, it offers a fascinating look at the evolution of radio broadcasting.
