Wake In Fright is a Tarntanya-based art-folk band. They seek to examine the complexities and contradictions of modern life through the sonic and lyrical lens of folk music. Drawing on influences from the sonic sensibilities of the 60s and 70s folk scene through to the alternative pop scene of today, Wake in Fright strives to create evocative and intimate arrangements. The band features Sam Wilson on vocals and guitar, Luka Kilgariff-Johnson on electric guitar and banjo, Thea Martin on violin, Allan McBean on Upright Bass, and Jachin Mee on drums and backing vocals. Wake In Fright self-released the EP ‘Wake In Fright Are A Band In The Room’ in 2022, the full-length album ‘It Can Happen Here’ in 2023 and their latest album ‘Touch Hands Pack Sting’ in 2024, which they toured to Tokyo, Japan. Their latest single ‘You Deserve’ is out now.

Good mates and tour buddies, nomadic Tom Woodward & Canberran Evan Buckley (The Burley Griffin), will be serenading, storytelling, fingerpicking and harmonising their way through two sets of each other's songs, in both solo and duo format.

Tom Woodward is a folksinger, guitar picker and writer of strange but compelling songs. In early 2023 he put down the guitar and embarked on a two month walk up the east coast of Australia, ending in a hospital stay and a hard-earned respect for the fragility of life. A year and a half later he got deported as an illegal alien from the USA. Composed in the twilit limbo between these two life shattering events, Revolving Doors is his new album. It will hit streaming services in August 2024 and he will be launching it across Australia with a run of shows throughout the Spring.
