Culture Club: Groundswell - Celebrating Culture Through Music
Thursday 30 November, 6:30pm – 8:30pm @ Nexus Arts
Join us for a panel discussion about community, culture, local and global opportunities this Good Music Month with music sector leaders and First Nations artists.
Adelaide is Australia's only UNESCO City of Music with proud live music heritage in our pubs, clubs and venues, and a magnet city for world-class festivals and events.
South Australian musicians are increasingly performing on global stages, so what makes our voices so sought after, and how are these connections made?
Facilitated by Nancy Bates (Barkindji songwoman) and featuring panellists; Annette Tripodi (WOMADelaide), Joe Hay (Adelaide City of Music), Grayson Rotumah (Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music - CASM), Emily Tulloch (Nexus Arts) and Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands hip hop band, DEM MOB - who will share their experience of performing at international showcase event, Primavera Pro in Spain.
Culture Club: Groundswell will be a night of insights, inspiration and connection with Adelaide’s arts and cultural community.
This is a free, all ages event. RSVP via Humanitix
